Spend a month trying to investigate this matter. Checked the usual Lottery Sambad result page at 8 PM and faced the website which looked almost exactly like the original Dhankesari website in terms of design, but something was a little bit wrong about its design. So decided to conduct some research in this area. It didn't take an hour to find six different clone websites calling themselves the original Dhankesari publication. From the good one to the extremely lazy, they are trying to deceive us one way or another. These are my findings during this research session. In case you are checking Lottery Sambad results on Internet on a regular basis, you should learn how to recognize a clone website in order to avoid some unpleasant experiences such as phishing, malware and scams.

Domain Name Manipulations

Almost any clone website starts with the URL itself. Check the address bar. Original Dhankesari result websites have simple and clear domain name. Clone websites use domain names which look very similar, but with some slight manipulations which we can easily miss, such as lowercase "L" to capital "I" transformation, usage of hyphen, adding words such as "today", "result" or "live", changing of TLD from one extension to another, and even usage of Cyrillic letter which looks the same as English letter. In my case, I check the URL of any result website by copying it to a text editor. This allows me to see the domain name as it is, without any manipulations with it in browser tab. And it took me two seconds to find a clone that changed letter "a" to letter from another language which looks the same. Absolutely identical domain name in browser tab, absolutely different domain name in reality.

Result Update Timing Pattern

Genuine result publishers always update their data extremely fast. The official PDF of Nagaland State Lottery is uploaded to nagalandlotteries.com within ten minutes after draw, Sikkim 6 PM results are uploaded to sikkimlotteries.com in just a few minutes, and a legitimate result mirror such as lotterysambad.tv reflects it in just a few minutes. Clone websites always lag behind at least by one hour or more, or even provide outdated results as the fresh ones.

Quick check: check the timestamp of the latest result and compare it with the actual time of draw on that day. If the clone website is showing 1 PM result at 3 PM without any clarification of the timestamp, something is wrong there. Another thing that you should check is whether the website is showing "result loading" animations in real time, but they are not loading anything new. This is a psychological trick used by clone to keep the user on the website while ads are playing in the background.

High Ad Density

This may seem obvious, but this is probably the most reliable visual check that anyone can perform. Most of clone websites are monetized to the death. Popup ads, fullscreen redirects, fake download links which lead to APK files, "you have won" banners which are absolutely irrelevant to the actual result, and aggressive notifications requests in less than five seconds after landing on the website. Official publishers and any decent result website keep their ads moderate and visually separate from the actual result page.

If you land on "Dhankesari result" website and in less than ten seconds see three popups, fake virus warning and get asked to enable notifications, leave the website as soon as possible. Do not click anything on the page, even on close button, because these popups are redirect in most cases.

The Lack of Proper Contact Information

Genuine result publishers and any official website in general have proper contact information such as verifiable office address, official email and phone numbers. Clone websites have none of this. They either have no contact page, contact form which leads nowhere or, in the worst case scenario, they ask you for your WhatsApp number and to "message for claim assistance". This last one is the biggest red flag ever. No legitimate result publishing website will ask you to send them your WhatsApp message regarding the claim procedure. Claims are performed offline through lottery directorates, not through some WhatsApp number on the website.

How Files Behave

The official Lottery Sambad result PDFs download as regular PDF file. Clone websites provide modified result files in different formats such as archive with multiple layers of unpacking, hidden tracking pixel in a file or even malware disguised as a regular result file. Quick check before downloading the file: check its extension. If "result PDF" file comes to you in format of anything but ".pdf" file, do not even think about opening it. If it requires some additional permissions in order to open the file, definitely do not open it.

Why These Clones Exist

This is what people usually skip, but knowing the motive helps a lot with detecting these signs. There are three main reasons why cloned Dhankesari and Lottery Sambad websites exist and they all have to do with finances.

First reason is the direct scamming. The clone provides fake or slightly modified result and WhatsApp number to "verify the claim". You call this number believing that you are talking to lottery official, scammer asks you for the processing fee and you lose money.

Second reason is pure ad fraud. The clone runs ad network which is mostly paid per impression rather than per click. Every visitor is monetized through multiple layers of pop-ups, redirects and forced video playing. Website itself does not care about the result accuracy, it cares about traffic only.

Third reason and the most popular one in 2026 - data harvesting. Clone collects your IP address, browser fingerprint and even phone number in some cases using "enter to verify" form and sells it to other scammers. And your number ending up in lottery scam call list usually originates from visiting these clones.

What to Actually Do Instead

Use verified sources only. Official Nagaland State Lottery results are at nagalandlotteries.com, Sikkim State Lottery results are at sikkimlotteries.com and a good mirror is lotterysambad.tv. Bookmark these three. Stop typing "lottery sambad result today" in the search bar of Google and clicking the first result that pops up, because lottery result SEO landscape is overcrowded by clones fighting for the top position.

Conclusion

Cloned Dhankesari and Lottery Sambad websites are not just annoying, they are dangerous and the 2026 version of them became more sophisticated comparing to the previous one. But red flags are still the same: weird domain name, slow update timing, high ad density, lack of proper contact information and suspicious file downloads. Five red flags. Two-minute check. A huge difference in safety.
